Tea4TheSoul – Introduction

Hello! I am writing from the wet but beautiful Evergreen state, and live in the foothills of the Skykomish River Valley. I have had a love of tea ever since I was a little girl. I remember having tea with my very English grandmother Florence. Grandma and I would drink tea while playing cribbage, and she would tell of her childhood in old England with it’s cobblestone streets and horse-drawn buggies; and occasionally my aunt Lilly would join us. Lilly was very adorable with her white hair and round spectacles, and she would read the tea leaves for us which of course was mysterious and fun. These were some of the best memories I have of my time with them, time I’ll cherish forever. Today, I enjoy sharing tea and stories with my own grandchildren who love playing tea party with their own little tea set. It is such a wonderful way to spend quality bonding time with them. After a long day at work, my husband and I will often sit outside around the fire and reflect on our day with a cup of tea.

In times like we’ve recently been experiencing with covid-19, I think so many of us are re-evaluating our lives and what is important to us. Family, good friends, our health, special times, spirituality, and a better work-life balance are even more important now. For me, especially since covid-19 started, relax and rejuvenating time is essential and with a good cup of tea it just soothes the soul. I hope you’ll join me as I talk about the different types of teas, and the benefits of each. Stay tuned for my next post on some great immune boosting teas.
